How to send money abroad
1. Visit a Post Office branch that offers MoneyGram with one of these forms of ID:
– Passport
– Valid UK driving licence
– National identity card
– Government issued ID
2. Fill in the send form and hand it in at the counter, and include a brief message to the recipient too if you like. You can also sign up for a MoneyGram Plus™ Rewards card, making repeat transactions quicker and easier.
3. Pay with cash or debit card. You can include the transfer fee in your total amount or pay it separately. A currency exchange rate may also apply.
4. Contact the recipient and pass on the reference number we’ll give you. They can collect the money in minutes*.
IMPORTANT! If you are sending £800 or more, you MUST to upload an image of the ID** used during the transaction to id.moneygram.com – you will only need to do this once.
How to receive money
1. Get your reference number from the person transferring you money.
2. Head into a Post Office branch that offers MoneyGram and bring one of these forms of ID:
– Passport
– Valid UK driving licence
– National identity card
– Government issued ID
3. Collect your money by filling in the ‘receive’ form.
IMPORTANT! If you are receiving £800 or more, you MUST to upload an image of the ID** used during the transaction to id.moneygram.com – you will only need to do this once.
