Post Office and Payzone have won a contract with Utilita, the specialist Pay As You Go Smart Energy supplier, to make paying bills easier for thousands of customers across the UK.

The long-term contract means that customers with a Utilita smart quantum Gas or Talexus electricity meter can top up their gas and electricity at Gale Street Post Office in Rochdale.

Utilita is the UK’s leading Smart PAYG Energy supplier with more than 800,000 customers, all of whom can now pay their energy bills and top up their meters in Gale Street Post Office branch.

To ensure bill payment options are available to those who are reliant on cash, bill or gas and electricity top up cards for a wide range of energy and utility companies can be paid in cash at Gale Street Post Offices in Rochdale.

The long-term contract with Utilita also marks a period of acquisition for Payzone, following recent partnerships with Bulb, E.ON Next and energy provider Jersey Electricity.
